ENplus A1 — premium residential
Ash ≤ 0.7%, ash-melting temperature ≥ 1200°C, chlorine ≤ 0.02%. Made from virgin stemwood and chemically untreated wood residues. Suitable for high-efficiency domestic pellet stoves and boilers.
ENplus A2 — standard residential and light commercial
Ash ≤ 1.2%. Accepts a wider feedstock (whole trees without roots, forest residues). Common in larger residential systems and commercial boilers that tolerate slightly higher ash.
ENplus B — industrial
Ash ≤ 2.0%. Includes chemically untreated used wood. Sold to power stations, district heating, and co-firing plants — never to consumer channels.
How to choose
Retail pellet-stove buyers should insist on A1. Boiler operators and commercial installers can safely specify A2 for a lower price per tonne. Industrial off-takers negotiate B-grade directly with the producer under long-term supply contracts.
